Probationary Officers are directly recruited officers in the various Public Sector Banks, State Bank Of India OR “IBPS” Group Banks who are initially recruited on probation (which is normally in all types of jobs) for 2 years period. It is well known that bank officers usually enjoy good respect and prestige in Indian society. Bank Clerical or Probationary officer is entry point for officers in the various Public Sector Banks, State Bank Of India OR “IBPS” Group Banks. Usually Bank POs are initially given training, which can range from few weeks to one year. After the training, Bank POs are placed either in a branch or administrative office.
